Elite Camp
Can parents watch camp activities? |
Parents and family members are allowed to watch all camp activities. Please be aware that if the University puts in place any COVID protocols before camp, this could change. |
What is the difference between Elite Camp and Individual Camp? |
Elite Camp is not designed for beginners and consist of advance level drills and competition. We do not recommend this camp for those campers who have little to no experience in playing basketball at a competitive level. All Jackie Carson Basketball Camps are open to any and all entrants however we want to help each camper have an amazing experience by attending camps that are appropriate for their skill level. |
Individual/Little Baller Camp
Are triple occupancy rooms available for residential campers? |
Unfortunately, we cannot assign triple rooms for camp. Please make sure to list only 1 roommate request. We will honor those roommate requests only if both campers request each other. |
Can I request that my daughter and her friends all be on the same floor for the residential camp? |
Unfortunately, we are not able to honor requests to have multiple rooms near each other. |
I see there is a camp bank available. What is it and is my child required to put money in the camp bank? |
The camp bank allows campers to keep their spending money for snacks, pizza, and gear all in one place during camp with our camp bank staff. The money is returned to the camper at the conclusion of camp. Campers are NOT required to leave money in the camp bank. |
Does individual camp focus on specific positions? |
We do not place campers in a specific position nor do we focus on skill development for specific positions. Individual camp focuses on basketball skills that are positionless and can be applied and developed regardless of what position your daughter plays. |
What is the difference between residential camper and a commuter camper? |
A residential camper will stay overnight in the dorms throughout the entirety of the camp. They receive the full allotment of scheduled meals throughout camp, including breakfast. Commuter campers are picked up daily at 8:30 PM and do not eat breakfast during the camp. |
Team Camp
What time are the games? |
There is no set schedule for team camp. Each team’s schedule is based on when they play their games. Coaches can make scheduling requests if they need to arrive or depart from camp by a certain time. |
When will the team camp schedule be released? |
Camp game schedules and registration information will be sent to coaches approximately 5-7 days before the start of camp. Coaches are responsible for getting this information to their players and parents. |
What time is registration? |
We ask that you arrive approximately an hour to 1.5 hours prior to your first game to clear registration. |
How many games do I get? |
We schedule 3 games a day. We allow coaches to request more or less games. We do not schedule games back-to-back unless requested or if you are adding additional games. We ask that you make any scheduling requests as early as possible. |
How many coaches are included in the price? |
The team price covers the admission for one coach. If you have additional coaches who are staying overnight or eating meals in the dining hall, you must pay the additional coach fees found on the website. Please include any bus drivers or parents who will be eating or staying overnight in the additional coach category. |
Are parents allowed to watch games? |
Parents and family members are allowed to watch games (no admission) however there is very limited seating in the PAC and Alley Gym. Please be aware that if the University puts in place any COVID protocols before camp, this could change. |
Are there currently any COVID protocols in place? |
No, there are not protocols in place at this time, but this is subject to change based on local and University officials. |
Are the dorms air-conditioned? |
Yes. |
Will we be able to walk from one gym to the other and to our dorms and dining facility if our bus has to leave? |
Yes, all facilities used for camp are within walking distance. |
Do you provide individual instruction? |
Yes, we offer optional individual station work for any team that is interested in attending on Saturday morning. |
How can I register and/or pay for my daughter for the team camp? |
A player cannot register or pay individual fee for team camp until their coach has registered the team for the camp. Once the coach registers or pays the deposit for their team, the coach will receive instructions and a code that will allow players to register online for camp. |
